The role emphasizes medium/high voltage power distribution, UPS, generators and switchgear, with a path toward Principal Engineer or Discipline Lead as projects grow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and PE licensure or active pursuit.
• 8+ years designing electrical systems for mission-critical/data center projects.
• Strong knowledge of medium/high voltage, UPS, generators and switchgear.
• Experience with NEC and applicable electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design of hyperscale, colocation and enterprise data centers.
• Produce and review drawings including single-line diagrams and layouts.
• Perform load, short-circuit and arc-flash studies and coordinate with teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and support client relationships.

The company is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to take a leading role in the design and delivery of major data center projects in Jacksonville, FL. The role offers technical autonomy, career progression, and the opportunity to influence projects from concept through commissioning while working alongside an experienced team of engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the electrical design of hyperscale, colocation and enterprise data center projects from concept through construction.
• Design medium and low voltage power distribution systems, UPS systems, standby generators, switchgear and mission critical electrical infrastructure.
• Produce and review electrical construction documents including single-line diagrams, power distribution layouts and equipment schedules.
• Perform or oversee load calculations, short circuit, coordination and arc flash studies.
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, structural and technology disciplines to deliver fully integrated project solutions.
• Act as the technical lead on multiple projects, ensuring quality, accuracy and compliance with client standards.
• Support construction administration through RFIs, submittal reviews, field observations and technical issue resolution.
• Participate in commissioning activities and support successful project handover.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development opportunities.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continued growth of the Mission Critical team.

Skills/Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years' experience designing electrical systems for mission critical, data center or other complex building projects.
• Strong understanding of medium voltage, low voltage and critical power distribution systems.
• Experience designing UPS systems, generators, switchgear, transformers, busway and standby power infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD and power system analysis software such as SKM or ETAP.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA and applicable electrical codes.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licence required or actively pursuing licensure.
• Proven ability to lead projects, mentor engineers and work directly with clients.
• Excellent communication and project coordination skills.

Salary:
