Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Bellevue, WA to lead electrical design for complex building projects. You will coordinate a multidisciplinary team and establish strong client relations while driving electrical systems from concept through construction.

The role requires a PE license and 10 years of building electrical design experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical design software. HDR values employee ownership and an inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent (P.Eng) is required.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the work of Electrical Engineers within a multidiscipline team throughout project development.
• Establish client relations and participate in design/production meetings regarding electrical systems.
• Lead electrical design on multiple projects; mentor staff as needed.
• Participate in code-compliance reviews with governing agencies.
• Conduct schematic, design development and contract document sessions on site with PM and other disciplines.
• Coordinate workload to ensure documents are completed on schedule.
• Track project finances and align effort with the schedule; report to PM/Regional Controller.
• Support project reviews with management; supervise electrical staff.
