Job summary

Newcomb & Boyd in Charleston, South Carolina is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design comprehensive electrical building systems for a variety of project types, from healthcare and higher education to science and technology.

Lead the creation of 2D/3D construction documents in Revit, perform energy modeling for LEED, coordinate with in-house disciplines and owners, and guide project teams through design and contract administration toward successful commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• 7–10 years of experience in electrical consulting.

Responsibilities

• Design complex electrical systems for projects.
• Lead 2D/3D construction documents using Revit.
• Prepare documents, calculations, and energy modeling for LEED certification.
• Lead design efforts with in-house disciplines, architectural clients, and owners.
• Plan project production process.
• Perform contract administration duties including site visits and submittal reviews.
• Manage a multi-discipline engineering team.
