Job summary

Brunswick is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, test, and optimize lithium batteries and systems. The role focuses on sustaining and advancing battery technology, validating performance, and ensuring safety and compliance through rigorous testing and documentation.

The candidate will work with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams, lead investigations, and contribute to scalable processes while staying current with new materials and techniques.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in electrical development or related domain.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of electrochemistry, material science, and physics.
  • Experience with battery testing equipment and characterization techniques.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

Our Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and optimization (sustaining) of (Lithium) batteries and systems.

Essential Functions
  • Design and develop new battery technologies, systems, and components.

Working Conditions

While this role includes typical office work—such as documentation, design reviews, and development on your laptop—it also requires hands‑on work in our electronics labs. A flexible work schedule is required with 3+ days onsite. Occasional travel to customers, suppliers, and discipline‑related conferences and seminars is expected.
