Job summary

Inversion, based in Playa Vista, CA, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to architect, design, integrate, bring up, and verify mixed-signal, embedded, and RF-adjacent hardware for next-generation reentry vehicles.

You will own hardware from concept through PCB development and deployment, work with the Avionics team, and collaborate across mechanical, RF, software, and systems groups. A U.S. secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and integrating mixed-signal, embedded, or avionics hardware.
  • Experience with schematic capture, PCB design, and hardware integration.
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution, grounding, shielding, EMI/EMC, and signal integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical architectures for flight and ground hardware.
  • Develop schematics and wiring definitions for mixed-signal hardware.
  • Lead PCB development, component selection, bring-up, and design reviews.
  • Integrate SDR-based systems including power, clocking, data interfaces, and RF interconnects.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, RF, software, firmware, and systems teams.
