Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Associate, Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical systems for aircraft and ground stations. You will create wiring diagrams, panels, and other components using advanced CAD/PLM tools and lead a small team of engineers.

The role requires collaboration with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production, and may require travel to flight lines. A DoD security clearance and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in a relevant engineering field; experience in electrical systems for aircraft ground and military applications.
• Graduate degree with 0–2 years of experience; or six years of alternative experience in electrical integration for aircraft.
• Active Secret Clearance or Higher preferred.
• Leadership experience and ability to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for integration of electronic equipment on aircraft and ground stations.
• Create and review wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, control panels, and related items using Capital Harness, NX, and TeamCenter.
• Coordinate design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to meet requirements at minimum cost.
• Lead a small team of electrical design engineers; provide status updates and budget estimates to platform leads.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and learn L3Harris design practices and specifications.
