Job summary

MT Engineering in the San Francisco East Bay is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to own full hardware lifecycle—from analog/digital design to PCB layout, prototype, test and production revision.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in analog and digital design, strong hands-on lab capability, and experience with vendor management and project leadership. You will design low-noise, high-bandwidth circuits, manage fabrication partners, and ensure design adherence to specs and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 10+ years of proven experience in analog and digital design.
• Experience in project management and vendor management.
• Ability to work in a lab environment and perform hands-on tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design and simulate low-noise, high-bandwidth analog and digital circuits.
• PCB layout and design for hardware integration and custom form factors.
• Perform board-level bring-up, bench characterization, and rigorous verification testing using lab equipment.
• Install, integrate, and debug custom electronic assemblies in the full-up hardware system.
• Troubleshoot system-level hardware bugs, signal noise, and power anomalies in real-world operating environments.
• Manage relationships with fabrication and assembly vendors.
• Ensure strict adherence to design specifications and deadlines.
• Resolve manufacturing bottlenecks, components sourcing challenges, and DFM inquiries.
