Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Atlanta office

Coffman Engineers serves as prime and sub consultant on projects across commercial, retail, institutional, government, industrial, and project/construction management. Since 1979, the firm has employees in more than 23 locations serving clients across the United States and overseas. The firm emphasizes multidisciplinary teams in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, corrosion control, and project/construction management to deliver integrated solutions.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will work within a consulting engineering and project management context, collaborating with the business development team and discipline leads to develop technical proposals and support marketing/business development efforts. The role offers opportunities to mentor a dedicated team of engineering professionals in a collaborative multidiscipline office and to provide direct client consulting services.

Responsibilities

• Perform the following functions:
• Design of electrical systems
• Manage and design multiple concurrent projects
• Lead design team efforts
• Manage project team for budget and schedule control
• Develop fee and qualification-based proposals
• Collaborate with architects, owners, and general contractors as part of a multidiscipline team
• Support marketing/business development activities
• Travel as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.S) in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering (required)
• 10 to 15 years of experience
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience with SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software
• Knowledge of electrical/energy codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, IECC, etc.)
• Project Management experience and/or certifications is a plus
• Desire to lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams
• Local AHJ experience and relationships is a plus
• Active local industry involvement is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

• Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
• Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance
• Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change)
• 401k with maximum 5% contribution matching for 9% employee contribution
