Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer, PE (Professional Engineer license required), to lead complex electrical system design and project management initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will drive innovative solutions across diverse projects, ensuring technical excellence, adherence to safety standards, and seamless integration of electrical systems. Your expertise will empower teams to deliver high-quality results on time and within scope, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence.

Tampa, Florida | Full-Time | In-Office Collaboration | PE Required

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and review of electrical systems using Revit, AutoCAD, and CAD software to produce detailed schematics and system layouts.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure timely delivery of electrical engineering projects.
  • Oversee system design processes, including power distribution, control systems, and automation integration, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including mechanical engineers and systems engineers—to develop integrated solutions that meet project requirements.
  • Conduct site visits during construction phases to monitor progress, perform quality assurance checks, and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, technical documentation, and presentations for stakeholders while maintaining clear communication throughout project lifecycles.
  • Lead electrical design for power, lighting, low-voltage signal, and related systems across a diverse building portfolio.
  • Perform or oversee calculations for service and distribution, conductor sizing, short-circuit coordination, photometrics, and energy-code compliance.
  • Coordinate with architecture and engineering teammates in Revit/BIM to produce clear, buildable documents.
  • Guide clients through technical options, budgets, schedules, and project decisions.
  • Participate in field investigations, construction administration, and problem solving during active projects.
  • Mentor junior staff and strengthen technical quality across the electrical team.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in electrical engineering with a focus on system design, project management, and construction oversight.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and CAD software for detailed schematics and system modeling.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems engineering principles combined with mechanical knowledge relevant to integrated infrastructure projects.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with excellent skills in project scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering processes and best practices for designing complex electrical systems within multidisciplinary environments.
  • Prior involvement in construction phases from planning through execution ensures practical insight into field operations.
  • Valid PE license is required; additional certifications related to electrical safety or project management are a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Florida PE license required.
  • 5+ years of relevant building systems design experience AFTER licensure required.
  • Experience with Revit/BIM, AutoCAD, lighting and power design, and Florida codes.
  • Working knowledge of low-voltage systems such as data, security, CCTV, mass notification, or fire alarm coordination.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with generators, UPS, EV charging, photovoltaics, or commissioning.
  • Interest in sustainable and high-performance building design.
