Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an electrical design engineer to own complex transformer projects for the North American market. You will design, analyze, and model power transformer systems, lead technical investigations, and prepare engineering reports while collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes innovative problem solving, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement to enhance performance, safety, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design within the power transformer manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering theory and practical application.
• Experience using AutoCAD; familiarity with 3D CAD tools such as Creo is an advantage.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and organizational skills with fluency in English.
