Job summary

Construction Innovations, LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the engineering of complex transmission and distribution substations. The role blends independent work with mentoring teammates to deliver cutting-edge electrical designs for utility and primary service customers.

You will develop single-line and schematic drawings, perform relay coordination, load flow, ground studies, and arc flash assessments, while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical design for substations, transmission, and distribution systems.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Understanding of safety standards and industry codes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure transmission, distribution and renewable facilities meet customer requirements, standards, and safety requirements.
• Lead design activities for medium/high voltage substations, switchyards, distribution, and transmission systems.
• Provide direction and support for internal and external customers on various projects.
• Develop single-line, three-line, schematic, wiring, general arrangement, communications, SCADA, and layout drawings for MV systems and equipment.
• Prepare relay settings, coordination studies, load flow analysis, ground grid studies, arc flash reports, harmonics studies, MOPs, and HV reports or procedures.
• Prepare electrical equipment specifications and evaluate submittals per customer requirements and applicable standards.

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the engineering of complex, standard, and non-standard transmission and distribution substations. The Senior Electrical Engineer plays a crucial role in the development of cutting-edge electrical engineering solutions; they59re a technical leader and mentor who will serve as an advanced-level resource. The ideal candidate will work both independently and in a team environment, utilizing their experience in electrical design and construction of substation, transmission, and distribution projects, working with both utility and primary service customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• :Ensure that electrical transmission, distribution, and renewable facilities are designed and engineered to meet customer requirements, industry standards, and safety requirement
