Job description

At Ware Malcomb, we are a dynamic, forward‑thinking design firm committed to pushing the boundaries. We look for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the delivery of comprehensive building engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects as Engineer‑of‑Record (EOR) and manage team members on specific phases or aspects of a project such as technical studies, analysis, design, preparation of technical drawings and specifications.
• Lead coordination with trades and coordinate directly with designers, owners and contractors on project activities.
• Perform or plan engineering programs to achieve project requirements.
• Organize project team as necessary.
• Control expenditures within limitations of project budget (Fee and Expenses).
• Review calculations output from calculation software to verify accuracy.
• Mentor team members in engineering principles and their application.
• Coordinate activities required to complete technical documents (drawings and specifications), including resolving engineering design and technical problems, evaluating and approving design changes and document releases.
• Lead or participate in field work (verification, assessments, CA punch lists, troubleshooting) for highly technical projects and clients.
• Assist in maintaining an environment for individual achievement and growth of team members.
• Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and development of Engineering Standards.
• Review drawings to improve drawing quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. or B.A.) from a four‑year college or university (ABET accredited).
• 15+ years of related experience and/or training.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
• Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex ideas through writing and presentations, motivate teams, and negotiate with stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes.
• Advanced financial knowledge to perform complex calculations and deliver thorough financial analysis to support project and business decisions.
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving abilities with the capacity to interpret complex information and evaluate multiple solutions in dynamic situations.

This is a full‑time, long‑term position.
