Job summary

Amica Talent is supporting one of our established utility-scale EPC clients with a confidential search for a Senior Electrical Engineer – Solar & Energy Storage. This is not simply a design-production role; you’ll be a senior technical resource within a growing in-house engineering team.

You’ll lead design across DC, MV and HV, mentor early-career engineers, review scopes, and help raise design standards while traveling up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Applied knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• Utility-scale solar, BESS or EPC experience.
• PE licensure or path toward obtaining it.

Responsibilities

• Support utility-scale solar and BESS design across DC, MV and HV systems.
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical challenges.
• Develop and strengthen electrical packages from initial design through IFC.
• Support troubleshooting, commissioning and major equipment decisions.
• Review technical scopes, responsibilities and contract requirements.
• Improve engineering standards, workflows and design quality.
• Mentor and support a talented early-career engineering team.

This is not simply a design-production role. You’ll become a senior technical resource within a growing in-house engineering team, taking on the complex and non-routine problems that require experience, sound judgement and first-principles thinking.

What you’ll be doing:

This is an office-led position with up to 25% travel.
