Job summary

LHB, an engineering firm, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Energy & Industry unit in a hybrid role based in Duluth or Minneapolis. Remote candidates may be considered within allowed states. The role includes design oversight across industrial power, renewables, substations, and mining sectors; PE oversight; and field data collection.

Responsibilities emphasize project management, vendor interaction, and producing client-ready documentation while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Licensed PE.

Job description

LHB has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Energy & Industry business unit.

This is a hybrid position based in our Duluth or Minneapolis locations. However, fully remote candidates will be considered under the right circumstances (if considered, needs to be within the following states that LHB is licensed to do business: CO, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA MI, MN, MO, MS, ND, NE, OH, OK, PA, SD, TN, TX, WI, WY).

Position Summary

The responsibilities for this exempt position will include but are not limited to:

• Electrical engineering design oversight for a variety of projects, including industrial electrical power distribution (high, medium, and low voltage), oil & gas, pulp & paper, renewable energy solutions, substation, and mining & heavy manufacturing
• Project management and PE oversight of multiple projects simultaneously
• NEC/NESC review/interpretation, design calculations, and equipment selection (including working with equipment vendors and manufacturers)
• Work on teams of LHB engineers (multidisciplinary), project managers, and drafting technicians to execute projects
• Perform field verifications, identifying and organizing field data for design applications accordingly
• Produce high quality professional documentation in accordance with LHB quality processes
• Follow all LHB and client safe working practices when working in the office and in the field

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• 10+ years of prior relevant experience
• Licensed PE

Salary Range

• This position’s anticipated base salary range is $110,000- $150,000 annually (This position is eligible for yearend bonuses).Offer will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
