Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager with deep expertise in electrical systems design and project delivery. This leadership role combines hands-on design experience with project management responsibilities—overseeing engineering teams, client communication, and the successful execution of electrical design packages from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the electrical design and coordination of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for complex building projects
• Manage project schedules, budgets, team assignments, and design deliverables across multiple concurrent projects
• Oversee the development of construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Perform and review engineering calculations: load analysis, short-circuit studies, voltage drop, photometric analysis, etc.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes including NEC, NFPA, IECC, and local jurisdictions
• Serve as the primary client point-of-contact for all electrical project matters, including design updates, coordination meetings, and field questions
• Mentor junior engineers and support staff; review and stamp drawings (if PE-licensed)
• Conduct field inspections, support bidding/RFI processes, and provide construction administration
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 8+ years of experience in electrical systems design, with at least 3 years in a project management or leadership capacity
• Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Solid knowledge of electrical code compliance, engineering best practices, and interdisciplinary MEP coordination
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and lead engineering teams on mid- to large-scale projects
Preferred Credentials:
• PE license strongly preferred (or in progress)
• Experience with SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or related electrical modeling software
• LEED accreditation or familiarity with sustainable design principles
• Familiarity with lighting control systems, generator sizing, and energy-efficient electrical solutions
