Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Sacramento, CA to design electrical systems from schematics through construction administration across diverse building types.

You will lead project teams, mentor engineers, develop designs, perform calculations, and coordinate with architecture and other MEP disciplines to deliver integrated building solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer credential.
  • 10+ years of experience designing power and lighting systems.
  • Experience with consulting engineering or A/E firms on commercial/educational/workplace/civic projects.
  • Experience with BIM, specifically Revit MEP.

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical designs from concept through construction.
  • Prepare engineering calculations and layouts.
  • Coordinate electrical design requirements with architecture, mechanical and other disciplines.
  • Lead project teams and manage team workloads.

Senior Electrical Engineer
Position Summary:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at DLR Group you willbe responsible forthe design of electrical systems from schematics through construction administration on a wide range of building types. As part of our integrated designteamsyou create buildings that elevatethe humanexperience through design. You willbe responsible forparticipatingin the design process of electrical building systems and preparing detailed electrical engineering drawings and calculations.

The successful candidate will:
  • Assistin developing projectobjectives, goals, and documentation policies.
  • Develop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction.
  • Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
  • Coordinate electrical design requirements with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.
  • Perform site investigation surveys and punch list reviews.
  • Provide electrical engineering designexpertiseon large, complex projects.
  • Lead project teams and manage team workloads.
  • Mentoremergingprofessional engineers.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • 10+ years' experience as an Electrical Engineer designing power and lighting building systems on complex projects.
  • Experience with consulting engineering or A/E firm as an electrical engineer designing power, lighting, and low voltage systems for Commercial,Educational, Sports, Workplace, or Civic projects.
  • Experience with BIM, specifically Revit MEP.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience designing low voltage systemssuch as firealarm, communications, and/or security.
  • Experience and interest in sustainable building design.
  • An appreciation and understanding of architectural design and how architects work and think.

$90,000 - $130,000 USD
