A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Professional Electrical Engineer to design complex electrical systems. The role includes conducting in-depth analyses and ensuring compliance with regulations while mentoring junior staff. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a PE license, and significant relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Technology or related discipline. OR directly related experience in Lieu of a degree.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 7-10 years of related experience designing power systems for water, wastewater, industrial, federal, and transit facilities.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is dependent on the project
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience designing medium and low-voltage power distribution systems.
• Familiar with industry and federal codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, NESC, IEEE, UFC, etc.)
• Experience conducting power system analysis using software such as SKM Power Tools for Window and ETAP.
Job Description
As a Senior Professional Electrical Engineer, you will create complex designs for various electrical systems, including power systems, protection and generation models, and sustainability/renewable energy systems, ensuring compliance with client requirements and regulations. You will perform detailed studies and calculations for electrical systems, lighting, communications, fire alarm, and security, while adhering to firm policies and practices. Site reviews and updates to design requirements will be necessary to align with location specifications. Additionally, you will contribute to the firm's technical knowledge management by developing and publishing technical papers and documentation. Collaboration with sales staff to create proposals, attending conferences to enhance firm visibility, and providing mentorship and supervision to junior staff are also key responsibilities.
