Job summary

Barge Design Solutions,Inc. is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to lead design teams across multidisciplinary projects.

Location could be any office location. You will drive electrical system design for diverse facilities including water treatment and data centers, while managing scope, schedule and budget and mentoring junior engineers. Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BSEE in Electrical Engineering is required.
• PE license is required.
• 10+ years of related experience in electrical engineering.
• NCEES Record is a strong plus.
• Experience with manufacturing facilities, data centers, or water treatment.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and/or BIM (3D) software.
• Experience with AGI 32 Lighting Analysis.
• Experience with SKM Power Tools.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

• Design facility electrical systems for diverse facilities (water treatment, data centers, commercial, institutional, federal).
• Design grounding, power, lighting and system plans and specifications.
• Prepare calculations and analyses of electrical systems.
• Review work for quality and mentor early career staff.
• Lead meetings with clients and interact with project teams and clients.
• Perform construction administration including submittal reviews and site visits.

What We're Looking For:

Barge is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to leadengineering project design teams within our Facilities Engineering SolutionCenter. Location could be in any of the Barge Design Solutions officelocations.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Electrical Lead for design projects in amulti-discipline environment.Manage scope, schedule, and budget for projects.
• Provides technical design expertise to projectsincluding development of solutions to engineering and technical challenges
• Designs facility electrical systems for facilitiesprojects including water treatment, data centers, commercial,institutional, federal, DOD, utility, andindustrial facilities
• Designs grounding, power, lighting, and systems plansand specifications
• Prepares calculations and analyses of electricalsystems such as lighting and power systems
• Reviews work developed by others for quality purposes
• Leads complex technical portions of meetings withclients
• Interacts with other project design team members andclients
• Mentors other early career staff
• Perform construction administration includingsubmittal reviews, response to contractor questions, and site visits asrequired
• Develop strong relationships with project managers,clients, contractors, and others
• Additional responsibilities as needed

Education & Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor’sDegree from an ABET accredited university, Electrical Engineering
• ProfessionalEngineer (PE) certification required
• Minimum 10years of related experience
• An active NCEESRecord is a strong plus.
• Experience withdesign of manufacturing facilities, data centers, and/or watertreatment
• Experienceusing AutoCAD and/or BIM(3D) software
• Experienceusing AGI 32 Lighting Analysis software a plus
• Experience withSKM Power Tools software a plus
• Knowledge ofMicrosoft Office Suite
