Job summary

Acuity Brands is seeking a Sr. Electronics Engineer to contribute to the Electronics & Light Engine portfolio, designing hardware, validating PCBs, and enabling new technology integrations.

You will interact with cross‑functional teams to drive product improvements and new developments that support the lighting business. The role offers exposure to multiple Acuity lighting portfolios and opportunities for growth within a fast‑paced engineering organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Experience independently designing electronics hardware.
• Strong experience with PCB design and layout.
• Demonstrated expertise in electronic component selection, circuit analysis, and SPICE simulation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronics hardware and firmware.
• Lead PCB layout and validation.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience independently designing electronics hardware.
• Strong experience with PCB design and layout.
• Demonstrated expertise in electronic component selection, circuit analysis, and SPICE simulation.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

Experience with Altium Designer.

Experience developing products for the lighting and/or LED industry.

Experience with firmware development or embedded systems programming.

Familiarity with embedded hardware and software integration.

Experience taking products from concept through development and commercialization.
