Watchfire Signs is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of electronics for LED displays, scoreboards, and related systems. You will drive manufacturable hardware solutions from concept through production and collaborate across hardware, firmware, manufacturing and supply chain teams.

In this role you will own schematic development, component selection, PCB design, and provide hands-on debugging, aiming for reliable, high-quality hardware and cost-effective

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of hardware design experience in a product development environment.
• Ability to write embedded firmware for microcontrollers and FPGAs
• Experience with PCB design tools (Altium preferred)
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment and hardware debugging
• Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver results
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic systems including digital, firmware, and power circuits
• Own schematic development, component selection, and PCB design reviews
• Lead hardware development from concept through validation and production release
• Troubleshoot complex system and board-level issues; drive root cause analysis
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams on product development
• Support new product introduction (NPI), pilot builds, and production ramp
• Work with suppliers and contract manufacturers to improve cost, quality, and yield
• Evaluate and implement component changes related to supply chain or obsolescence

Pay range: $80,000 USD to $100,000 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Position Summary

Watchfire Signs is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of electronics for LED displays, scoreboards, and related systems. This role is a key technical contributor responsible for delivering robust, manufacturable hardware solutions from concept through production.

You will work across hardware, firmware, manufacturing, and supply chain teams while driving high-impact product development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic systems including digital, firmware, and power circuits
