Job summary

Talent ACQ seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to own hardware design end-to-end—from schematic through layout, bring-up, and validation—in Clarksburg, MD. On-site role building defense electronics for autonomous platforms, focusing on high-speed analog/digital design and power integration.

You will lead board-level PI/SI, DDR testing, SerDes qualification, PCB stackup decisions, and lab debugging, coordinating with suppliers on assembly issues for rugged environments.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hardware design experience with full-design ownership.
• Experience with PCB stackup design, multilayer boards, SI/PI analysis.
• Familiar with HyperLynx or LTSpice.
• Hands-on lab debugging skills: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers.
• High-reliability industry experience (defense, aerospace, automotive, or software-defined radio).
• Experience with MIL-STD or ISO 26262-style standards, GMSL/MIPI CSI-2, DDR, or SerDes qualification.

Responsibilities

• Own board-level power and signal integrity analysis, including SI/PI simulations.
• Lead DDR test and part qualification, including characterizing SerDes and memory interfaces.
• Design buck/boost power converters for in-house power supply capability.
• Define PCB stackups and coordinate with fab houses on materials and lamination.
• Handle high-speed digital and analog design, including ESD/surge mitigation.
• Bring up and debug new boards in lab and troubleshoot with suppliers on assembly or part issues.

Senior Electrical Engineer — PCB & Power Supply Design

A defense autonomy company building the electronics behind next-generation autonomous vehicle platforms is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to own hardware design end-to-end, from schematic through layout, bring-up, and validation.

What you'll do

• Own board-level power and signal integrity analysis in HyperLynx, including board-to-board signal loss and SI/PI simulation
• Lead DDR test and part qualification, including characterizing SerDes and memory interfaces
• Design buck/boost power converters as the team builds in-house power supply capability to replace legacy off-the-shelf modules
• Define PCB stackups and work directly with fab houses on material and lamination tradeoffs
• Handle high-speed digital and analog design, including ESD/surge mitigation
• Bring up and debug new boards in the lab, then troubleshoot with suppliers on assembly or part issues

What you bring

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of hardware design experience, with demonstrated ownership of a full design cycle (schematic → layout → bring-up → validation)
• Experience with PCB stackup design, multilayer boards, and SI/PI analysis
• Comfort simulating in HyperLynx or equivalent (LTSpice a plus)
• Hands‑on lab debugging skills: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers
• High‑reliability industry experience (defense, aerospace, automotive, or software‑defined radio — the specific product doesn't have to match, but the rigor should)
• Familiarity with MIL-STD or ISO 26262‑style standards
• Experience with GMSL/MIPI CSI-2 camera interfaces, DDR, or SerDes qualification

Compensation: $120,000–$160,000, commensurate with experience (open to Staff-level compensation for candidates well beyond the 5-year floor)
