Job description

An established forward thinking Engineering firm located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey is seeking a senior‐level Electrical Engineer with relevant experience in electrical power, lighting and fire alarm / systems design for public, institutional, educational, commercial, and industrial facilities.

PRIMARY DUTIES :

• Develop and manage the electrical department to support MEP and other projects
• Prepare electrical designs for institutional, office, educational, retail, healthcare, industrial and other similar projects
• Apply design knowledge in power distribution, grounding, lighting, control systems, fire alarm and equipment specifications and selections Analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective resolutions
• Ability to direct a team of engineers, designers and support personnel
• Interact with all engineering disciplines, construction project managers, and clients
• Work within company policy and OSHA Safety rules
• Demonstrate the ability to take projects from inception to completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES :
• Must have experience as a project lead on multi‐discipline engineering design projects.
• Must have advanced knowledge of electrical engineering and design and be familiar with applicable codes for building, energy, and construction standards and acceptable industry practices
• Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time
• Formal experience in electrical system design for buildings
• Experience with common Engineering Design software
• Experience with Lighting Design and Photometric Software
• Experience with latest versions of AutoCAD
• Ability to prepare written specifications, letters, reports and related contract documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

Must possess a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES REQUIRED

Must possess a Professional Engineer (P.E.) License
