EPAM Systems in Boston seeks an exceptional electrical engineer with 8–12 years of experience to act as a technical leader on multidisciplinary projects. You will lead cross-discipline teams, document designs clearly, and guide the adoption of emerging technologies.
We are looking for an exceptional electrical engineer with 8–12 years of experience who serves as a technical leader on complex, multidisciplinary projects. You have a deep and broad base of practical knowledge and can independently drive projects from concept through delivery. You are comfortable leading electrical engineering efforts, mentoring junior engineers, and engaging directly with clients and stakeholders to define scope, manage expectations, and communicate results.
You are motivated to document and communicate the elements of your designs to fellow teammates and clients. You thrive contributing to and leading teams from multiple disciplines including: mechanical, electrical, software, and human factors engineers; industrial and human interface designers, usability specialists, and design strategists. You take ownership of electrical engineering quality and consistency across projects.
You must be able to work across many different platforms, architectures, and situations. A diverse exposure to processors, analog and digital circuits, and low-power design is extremely important. You proactively identify emerging technologies, evaluate their applicability, and guide the team in adopting them strategically. You are recognized as a go-to resource for technical decisions both within project teams and across the broader organization.
The primary responsibilities will be serving as the lead electrical engineer on projects: owning architecture decisions, guiding the design of board-level solutions for embedded systems (including cabling, EMC, and process-driven documentation), and managing associate-level electrical engineers. Secondary responsibilities include multi-discipline system architecture (electronics, software, and mechanical systems), contributing to sales activities, and helping scope and estimate projects.
