The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, and proficiency in power system studies using tools like SKM PowerTools and ETAP. The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 per year.
Senior Electrical Engineer, Power Systems and Industrial Facilities, Hybrid
As our new Senior Electrical Engineer, you will join Ramboll’s multi-discipline engineering team delivering industrial manufacturing and water and wastewater projects across the U.S. You will serve as a technical leader who develops sound, code-compliant electrical designs, performs and reviews engineering calculations, and uses power system modeling tools to drive decisions from front‑end loading through detailed design and construction support.
This role is intentionally centered on engineering judgment and analysis. You will be expected to evaluate alternatives, document assumptions, and guide design outcomes using NFPA 70, National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace (70E), and relevant Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) standards, including IEEE 1584 and IEEE 242 as applicable, while partnering with designers and other disciplines to deliver coordinated packages.
This position is hybrid. Two days per week in the office is ideal to support collaboration, mentoring, and interdisciplinary coordination. We are open to remote applicants who demonstrate strong, relevant experience and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, while maintaining reliable communication and responsiveness to project needs.
Travel is expected to be less than 10 percent and will typically be associated with site visits, client coordination, and construction support activities.
You will be accountable for technical quality and for making defensible engineering decisions across the project lifecycle, including feasibility and front‑end loading studies, detailed design, constructability review, and construction support.
We want this to screen for power focused engineers who can own analysis and decisions, without over filtering on drafting.
