Job summary

Cornerstone Utility Engineering seeks a Senior Planner to lead complex distribution design projects and mentor the planning team. You will work closely with field staff, engineers, and clients to ensure high-quality, compliant designs and timely project execution.

You will oversee 15–20+ simultaneous jobs, apply SCE guidelines, and develop solutions in collaboration with several internal groups while maintaining safety protocols and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of distribution planning experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of distribution design and electrical service requirements.
• Experience with SCE systems (DM, SAP, AUD, SPIDACALC) and resource materials (DDS, ESR, UGS).
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills for client relations.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical planning for high-complexity electrical utility distribution projects.
• Define advanced design scope and operational requirements for electrical and civil designs.
• Oversee infrastructure replacement programs and specialty projects with customer/system impact.
• Prepare, review, approve, and finalize work order packages.
• Train and mentor Planners, Associate Planners, and Trainees.
• Coordinate with engineering, field teams, project managers, and clients.
