Job summary

SSOE Group seeks mid-to-senior Electrical Designers with strong Revit experience for our Industrial Facilities team. The role combines deep technical electrical design with Revit coordination and collaborative project delivery for leading industrial clients.

The position is hybrid with regular commuting to our Toledo, Ohio office. Ideal candidates possess extensive electrical design experience, Revit expertise, and ability to guide junior staff while coordinating with engineers and project teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or completion of post-secondary training in an engineering field.
• Minimum ten years of electrical designer experience.
• Experience with power system design and familiarity with lighting software.
• Advanced experience with Revit software is required.
• Experience within the industrial facilities space and ability to execute related designs.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team‑oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage junior staff and delegate work.
• Ability to communicate with clients directly and maintain professional relationships.
• Ability to collaborate with remote office team members across locations.

Responsibilities

• May serve as lead designer on assigned projects.
• Develop and coordinate designs using Revit and other design tools.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams.
• Provide direction to design staff and CAD/Revit support personnel.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and design coordination.
• Ensure designs meet applicable standards and project requirements.
• Apply standard design techniques and make minor adaptations when needed.
• Receive instructions on assignment objectives and complex features.
• Coordinate and direct the work of designers on the same project.
• Prepare addenda and bulletins; initiate project change orders.
• Attend construction meetings and produce site observation reports and final punch lists.
• Troubleshoot design problems in the field during construction.
• Travel required; valid driver’s license required.
