Qualifications

• Two-year degree in electrical technology required.
• Approximately 10 years of OEM experience preferred.
• Experience in packaging, pulp & paper, or food and dairy is a plus.
• Designs control panels under 480V and complies with NEC/UL.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Designing and assembling electrical control panels under 480V for packaging machinery
• Specifying and configuring Allen-Bradley hardware — MCCs, VFDs, IO cards, power supplies, Ethernet switches
• Designing integrated control systems using PLCs networked to Remote IO Panels
• Specifying instruments used in packaging and processing environments — photo-eyes, proximity switches, flow and pressure transmitters, solenoid valves
• Designing pneumatic systems and sizing components appropriately
• Working in AutoCAD Electrical
• Commissioning and de-bugging systems in the field after installation
• Applying NEC and UL requirements for industrial control panels
