Job summary

Allen + Shariff, an international MEP engineering firm, seeks a mid to senior-level electrical designer to join the team in the United States. Salary ranges from $90K to $150K, depending on experience and certification, with onsite work and extensive benefits.

The role focuses on full design of lighting, power, and fire alarm systems for small to medium commercial projects, utilizing Revit and AutoCAD, plus bid and construction support and coordination with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with electrical focus in EE or Arch Engineering.
• Experience coordinating design with teams and clients is expected.
• Strong documentation and code compliance awareness is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design lighting, power, and fire alarm systems for commercial projects.
• Analyze options and evaluate existing systems where appropriate.
• Coordinate project documents with internal teams and clients.
• Produce complete design using Revit or AutoCAD as required by architect.
• Write detailed specifications.
• Support bids, RFIs, shop drawings, and field observations.

Allen + Shariff is seeking a mid to senior-level electrical designer to join our team. Salary is $90K - $150K, depending on experience and certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform full design of lighting, power, and fire alarm systems, including full equipment selection, for small to medium commercial projects.
• Analyze system options and evaluate existing systems where appropriate.
• Coordinate all aspects of project document completion within A+S and externally with clients.
• Complete full design in accordance with code. Production is performed using Revit and AutoCAD depending on preference of architect.
• Write specifications.
• Provide bid and construction phase services including reviewing bids, answering RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, participating in project walk-throughs, and providing field observation reports.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an electrical focus.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience.
• PE (or ability to get PE) preferred.
• AutoCAD required, Revit preferred.
