Austal USA in Mobile, AL seeks an experienced CAD Designer to develop 2D and 3D drawings and mentor CAD Drafters. You’ll review others’ work, coordinate with production, engineering, and suppliers, and support modular construction and shipyard design efforts for US Navy vessels.

The role requires strong AutoCAD skills, 8 years of 3D modeling, and an Associates degree or higher in CAD, with excellent communication and adherence to deadlines.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree or higher in CAD preferred.
• 8+ years of 3D modeling experience.
• 10 years of shipyard design/production experience preferred.
• Experience with ShipConstructor preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Responsible for 2D and 3D drawing development.
• Checking drawings created by CAD Drafters and Designer I-III.
• Works with Production Management and cross-functional teams internally and externally.
