Senior Electrical Designer - Houston, TX

Halff in San Antonio, TX has an immediate opening for a Senior Electrical Designer supporting our Electrical Engineering department. The ideal candidate will have experience with power and lighting design concepts and must be capable of performing routine calculations, equipment layout, lighting selection and photometrics calculations, circuiting electrical panels, and electrical feeder schedules under supervision of senior staff.

Electrical Designer Responsibilities:

1. Design, layout, and circuiting of equipment for electrical systems, (i.e. lighting systems, lighting controls, circuiting HVAC and Plumbing equipment, etc.)
2. Set-up drawing sheets in AutoCAD and/or REVIT, develop panel schedules, and develop one-line diagrams.
3. Assist in estimated project construction cost and specification writing.
4. Support multiple projects as needed, with efficient completion of assignments.

Electrical Designer Requirements:

1. Minimum 3 to 5 years of Electrical design experience; mechanical or plumbing experience is a plus.
2. Experience with AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus.
3. Working knowledge of NEC and IESNA.
4. Working knowledge of ASHRAE 90.1 and IECC.
5. CAD certification or Associates degree desired.
