Job summary

Power Design, Inc. is seeking a senior electrical designer to lead and mentor the design team, working directly with clients and guiding electrical documentation quality. You will attend client meetings, supervise engineers, and ensure high standards across bidding, design, permitting, and construction phases.

The role emphasizes strong NEC/IBC/IECC knowledge, practical design execution, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable systems and value-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of directly related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• Strong electrical design fundamentals and knowledge of NEC/IBC/IECC and life safety codes.
• CADD experience is a plus but not required.
• Able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail oriented and quality driven.
• Able to analyze and resolve problems at strategic and functional levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

As a senior member of the construction design team you will work directly with clients, attend client meetings, lead other engineering team members, mentor junior engineering staff and ensure the quality of electrical documentation. The senior electrical designer interprets electrical design requirements and designs electrical systems to the highest quality.
