Job Summary:

You will collaborate to develop ideas/thoughts into physical reality! Architecture & Facilities Engineering (A&FE) is looking for an Electrical Designer/Draftsperson to support the development and sustainment of electrical distribution systems throughout Disneyland Resort. Our department supports facility, attractions, entertainment, food, and merchandise maintenance teams. You will support maintenance teams, minor system modifications, and immediate response efforts.

The objective of this position is to update facility drawings through drawing research and field verification, including electrical one-line diagrams, equipment layout and elevation drawings, motor control drawings, system control drawings, etc.

This role involves close collaboration with other engineering disciplines and multiple Disney project teams including FAM, WDI, Entertainment, and Operations.

You will report to the Manager, Sustaining Engineering within DLR's Architecture & Facilities Engineering Team.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform site visits for data retrieval and verification of existing drawings including details, measurements, and conditions.
  2. Coordinate and update electrical drawings as needed.
  3. Help develop and maintain design standards.
  4. Manage photo documentation of existing conditions, prototypes, and projects.
  5. Assist with management of the design resource library.
  6. Resolve design compliance issues related to electrical system requirements and validate item specifications.
  7. Research availability of As-Built Drawings in Disneyland Archives.
  8. Demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Basic Qualifications

  1. Familiarity with California Electrical code, IEEE 3000 Standards, and California Energy Code (Title 24).
  2. Ability to develop concepts into construction-ready designs.
  3. Enhance electrical safety practices and procedures.
  4. Minimum of five years of related engineering field experience.
  5. Minimum of five years of AutoCAD and Revit experience with electrical drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's in Engineering from an ABET or ACCSC accredited university.

The hiring range in California is $101,800.00-$126,200.00 per year, with potential bonuses and benefits.
