Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer! In this role, you will be responsible for electrical analysis, detailed design, controls integration, and overall electrical performance of Enviro‑Tec HVAC equipment (air handlers, fan coils, blower coils). The focus spans on new‑product development, sustaining engineering, prototyping, laboratory validation, certification support, and production enablement. You will lead complex electrical development efforts—covering wiring architecture, schematics, harnesses, component selection, motor/drive systems, sensors, protection devices, panel/enclosure layouts, electric heat integration, A2L refrigerant detection, and agency compliance—while providing technical leadership across NPD teams. This position is onsite based in Largo, FL. Candidates must be commuting distance to the facility, or able to relocate. Johnson Controls offers various relocation packages depending on your needs.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $100000 - $130,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
