Job summary

TAR in Austin, Texas is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to our mission of building off-grid energy assets. The role includes creating electrical designs for microgrids powering AI data centers, ensuring compliance with utility standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in utility-scale solar, BESS, or power-systems design.
• Hands-on ownership of single-line diagrams and equipment sizing.
• Experience with basis-of-design production.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain electrical single-line and three-line diagrams.
• Size conductors, OCPD, disconnects, and switchgear.
• Produce the basis-of-design and coordinate with the Engineer of Record.
• Develop equipment layouts for solar PV and BESS.
• Support OEM technical evaluation.

Skills
