Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of electrical systems and control panels. The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of experience in electrical design and proficiency in EPLAN P8. You will be responsible for directing design activities, ensuring compliance with standards, and providing technical leadership to junior engineers. This position is a contract role based in Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in electrical design within industrial automation, machinery, or related domains.
• Strong experience in electrical harness design, schematic drafting, and panel design.
• Good understanding of UL508A, NEC, NFPA 70E, and IEC standards.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design activities including schematics, panel layouts, and harness designs using EPLAN P8.
• Design and document control panels, ensuring compliance with UL, NEC, and NFPA standards.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Support fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting during panel build and commissioning phases.
