Job summary

Interface Engineering Inc. in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer I (MEP) to lead complex projects across healthcare, education, commercial and biotech sectors.

This 2-day-per-week minimum hybrid role blends in-office collaboration with remote work, supported by our 100% employee-owned ESOP culture and career pathways. You will design innovative electrical systems, mentor design staff, meet with clients, and contribute to project management under our leadership

Qualifications

• BSEE is required with 7+ years in MEP design/consulting.
• Strong leadership and project management experience.
• Healthcare building design and HCAI compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex MEP projects across Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Biotech and Transportation.
• Design innovative electrical systems for diverse facilities.
• Meet with clients and provide guidance to design staff.
• Support overall project management for the MEP team.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing complex MEP projects across numerous industries: Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Biotech, Transportation, and more.
• Innovative and complex electrical system design
• Meeting and consulting with clients
• Providing guidance to design staff
• Supporting overall project management to our MEP team leaders.

Required

What You'll Bring:

• BSEE
• 7+ years' experience in MEP design/consulting
• Team leadership/management experience
• Project Management Experience in the MEP space
• Healthcare building design and HCAI compliance experience
• High-energy client services skills
• Excellent communication ability
• Complete understanding of building codes
• Thorough design system knowledge

Preferred

• A Professional Engineering License (or equivalent experience)
• PMP Certification
• LEED Accreditation
• Experience with REVIT
