Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Staff Electrical Design Engineer in the United States to lead hardware/firmware development for aerospace and defense projects. The role requires a background enabling a Secret clearance when necessary and strong experience in high-speed FPGA-based designs.

You will review customer requirements, develop system-level architectures, perform DSP implementations, and mentor other engineers while shaping hardware test environments and verification plans.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in electrical design engineering.
• Experience with high-speed firmware and radar signal processing is highly desirable.
• Board-level design and verification including FPGA-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret customer requirements and contracts.
• Develop complex system-level hardware architecture and select components (FPGA, critical parts).
• Implement high-speed DSP in FPGA and perform trades studies (DARs).
• Lead HWCI hardware requirements allocation; document test environment; develop verification matrix.
• Lead hardware design, firmware development, and unit testing of complex constructs.
• Provide analysis of system data, timing, and bus bandwidth; mentor engineers.
• Present at PDR/CDR/TIMs with internal and customer teams.
• Develop electrical estimates for proposals and drive schedules.
