Job summary

Zeus Industrial Products in Orangeburg, South Carolina, is seeking an experienced electronics engineer to develop control, data acquisition, and signal processing systems for our polymer extrusion operations. You will troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, drivers, and sensors to ensure reliable manufacturing performance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electrical/electronics, strong process control knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years in the electrical and electronics field.
Strong process control background, including temperature and pressure controls, strain gages/load cells, signal conditioners, and lasers.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Competent with PLC programming, control panel layout, and construction.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Flexible and open‑minded to assist and perform any task as required by management, not limited to the above criteria listed.

Responsibilities

Develop control, data collection, and signal processing systems.
Troubleshoot existing PLC’s, HMIs, motor drives, electronic circuits, electro‑mechanical systems, PID controllers, and electronic sensors of all types.
Ensure satisfactory operation of new equipment; prepare operating and training manuals.
Train maintenance staff to service critical electronic components.
Monitor and adjust, as necessary, any equipment validating product.
