Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to guide facility electrical projects within engineering test services. You will oversee design, development and implementation of electrical systems for engines and power systems, providing technical leadership to the team and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive innovation.

You will report to the engineering manager and operate on a hybrid 3/2 schedule, contributing to high‑quality testing and the company’s

Qualifications

BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
8+ years in electrical and facility control systems.
US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
8+ years PLC programming across multiple hardware platforms.
Ability to write software with object‑oriented approach and ladder logic.
Experience as a technical leader and designer.
Knowledge of UL508A, NFPA79, IEC, NEC.

Responsibilities

Architect, develop and test PLC programs for new/existing equipment.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring for junior engineers.
Define control system requirements and functional specs.
Lead implementation and testing, resolving software/electrical/mechanical issues.
Use AutoCAD Electrical to support/revise designs and create BOMs.
Create clear documentation for operation, maintenance and repair.
Lead troubleshooting of electrical/electronic issues with analytical thinking.
Respond quickly with high‑quality solutions for customers.
