Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Documented experience writing PLC logic and HMI programming.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical.
• Working knowledge of Windows and general computer operation.
• MS Word, Excel and Project proficiency.
• Ability to work independently, accurately and efficiently.
• Strong communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Experience with field installations.
• Ability to manage and direct the work of others.
• Capable of managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience in pneumatic and hydraulic design.
• Understanding of communication protocols to SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, test and troubleshoot controls including panels, PLC logic and HMI programming.
• Produce detailed panel layout drawings with bill of materials.
• Communicate with customers regarding electrical control portions of projects.
• "Ownership" and accountability for projects.
• Travel to customer sites to provide engineering, start-up and installation support.
• Panel and logic check-out in shop before shipment.
• Maintain Production Schedule by on-time completion of work.
• Interpret customer specifications and respond accordingly.
• Collaborate with other departments on current and future projects.
• Represent the company professionally; manage schedules for electrical controls engineers.
• Provide support for Customer Service as needed and pricing for Sales.
