Job summary

Sealed Air’s Electrical Controls & Sustaining Industrial Equipment Senior Engineer role centers on owning the electrical controls engineering lifecycle for major packaging equipment. You’ll design, troubleshoot, and improve control systems across lifecycle stages, collaborating with Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers to drive reliability and safety.

The position requires hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, drives, and motion control, along with strong root-cause

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent technical background.
Approximately 5–7 years of professional experience in industrial automation or electrical controls.

Responsibilities

Own the electrical controls lifecycle for assigned equipment
Design, modify, debug, and maintain PLC, HMI, servo, VFD, and motion control systems
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Support commissioning, field validation, and equipment evaluations
Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and documentation
Lead Engineering Change Orders and obsolescence activities
Provide advanced technical support to field personnel and customers
Drive reliability improvement and cost reduction initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to improve manufacturability and safety
