Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer in Dublin, OH to design, program, implement, and optimize industrial automation systems. You will lead projects from concept to deployment, design electrical control systems, and mentor engineers while coordinating with operations and manufacturing teams.

The role requires hands-on PLC/HMI work, strong electrical design skills, and a proven track record in industrial automation.

Qualifications

6+ years of controls engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; other related degrees considered.
Hands-on PLC programming and HMI configuration and integration.
Strong knowledge of electrical controls design, schematics, and panel layouts.
Experience with safety standards and commissioning of industrial systems.

Responsibilities

Lead controls projects from concept through deployment and support.
Design electrical control systems, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs for reliable operations.
Mentor other engineers and coordinate with operations and manufacturing teams.
Manage schedules, budgets, and technical scope to meet quality targets.
Support testing, startup, and commissioning activities and safety compliance.
Troubleshoot startup issues and optimize performance of automation systems.
Collaborate across engineering, operations, and project stakeholders to align status and risks.
