PAR Systems UK Ltd in Minnesota is seeking an Electrical Controls Design Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing team. You will convert machine requirements into complete electrical designs to support procurement, panel fabrication, assembly, commissioning, and long-term service, collaborating with controls software, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and project teams.

Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN is highly valued, with EPLAN Electric P8 experience preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Three or more years of electrical controls design for industrial machinery.
• Experience with control panel design and electrical schematics.
• Ability to translate machine requirements into electrical designs.
• Familiarity with electrical standards (NFPA 79, NFPA 70, UL 508A).

Aufgaben

• Develop electrical control schematics, power distribution drawings, and panel layouts.
• Specify controls hardware including PLCs, I/O, safety devices, servo drives, and sensors.
• Perform design calculations for loads, conductor sizing, and enclosure thermal requirements.
• Create and maintain BOMs, cable schedules, and wire numbering.
• Define electrical interfaces with mechanical equipment and vendor systems.
• Coordinate layouts across control panels and field devices.
• Participate in design reviews and apply standards and PAR practices.
• Prepare design packages and component releases for schedules and procurement.
• Maintain consistency between schematics, layouts, BOMs, and revisions.
• Support panel fabrication, commissioning, and field checkout.
• Help develop EPLAN templates and reusable design content.
• Share knowledge and improve electrical design quality.
