Job summary

Delta ModTech in Minnesota seeks a Senior Electrical Controls Engineer to design electrical systems, write PLC and HMI programs, and lead startup and troubleshooting of custom web converting and coating equipment.

You will develop PLC/HMI applications, support field teams during installation and testing, and ensure compliance with UL 508A and NEC/IEC standards while collaborating in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electrical/Mechanical/Computer/Systems/Controls or similar.
• 8+ years of experience with industrial controls in automation or machine design.
• PLC programming: Allen Bradley, Siemens or Yaskawa.
• Motion control programming of rotary and linear servo axes.
• HMI Development: Visual Basic.NET, C#, FactoryTalk.
• Machine Vision development for inspection with Cognex, Keyence or similar.
• Competent in AutoCAD Electrical.
• Design electrical panels to meet UL 508A and NEC/IEC/CEC standards.

Position Profile

This position is responsible for the electrical design including schematic design, writing new PLC and HMI programs, and the startup and troubleshooting of custom web converting and coating equipment.

• Develop applications of controls and systems including PLC and HMI development
• Provide support and field questions during the manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing processes
• Perform operation, software maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations
• Keep current with the latest technical innovations in electrical engineering and industrial controls

Salary Range

$75,000 - $130,000 per year (DOE - Depending on Experience)
