Job summary

Control Panels USA is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls CAD Drafter to join our Georgetown, TX team for a full-time role. The position focuses on developing detailed drawings for fabrication of control panels and producing design drawings and specifications for manufacturing.

You will create AutoCAD drawings for panel cut-outs and wiring, collaborate with project managers, and ensure drawings meet CP USA standards.

Qualifications

8+ years of AutoCAD experience.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail oriented with high accuracy.
Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Create AutoCAD drawings for panel cut-outs, back panel wiring, and a completed control panel.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure accuracy and industry standards.
Collaborate with production and project managers to resolve design and drawing issues.
Generate or revise schematic drawings and wiring diagrams.
Follow CP USA standards to ensure drawing consistency.
Analyze markups from production and revise drawings accordingly.
Review cost estimates to ensure correct parts are used on drawings.
May create designs based on contract drawings and specifications.
Adhere to timelines as set forth by Project Managers.
Provide sample project drawings upon interview.
Work with Project Managers and other departments to research tools needed to complete the project.
Think creatively within project parameters.
