General Description of Job:

In general, the CAD Drafter is responsible for developing detailed design drawings and related specifications for the manufacturing of control panels and relay racks.

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Generate and/or revise schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and physical equipment assembly drawings.
• Follow CP USA standards to ensure drawings are consistent.
• Analyze markups from production and revise drawings to reflect the finished product.
• Review cost estimates to ensure correct parts and panels to ensure correct parts are utilized on drawings.
• May create designs based on contract drawings and specifications.
• Adhere to timelines as set forth by Project Managers.
• Any other task, assignments, duty, or projects, as requested by management.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience using AutoCAD.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.).
• Experience in 3-D Software is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including schematics and electrical product guidelines.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to follow directions and procedures.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at a time.
• Ability to work independently, collaboratively, or in a team environment.
