Job summary

SpaceXAI in the United States seeks a highly skilled Sr. Electrical Commissioning Technician to support the buildout and energization of our data centers.

This hands-on role requires performing commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems powering next-generation AI infrastructure. You'll collaborate with construction, engineering, and operations teams to ensure safe, reliable systems from installation to turnover.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on electrical commissioning or field technician experience in data centers, power plants, or large industrial facilities.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V including switchgear, motor control centers, VFDs, and protective relaying.
• Experience with commissioning test equipment (meggers, multimeters, relay test sets, power quality analyzers).
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, NETA codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute electrical commissioning activities for medium and low voltage power distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, PDUs, and related controls in data center environments.
• Perform point-to-point wiring checks, functional testing, calibration, and system integration verification.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup phases.
• Develop and execute detailed commissioning test procedures, scripts, and documentation per project specs and industry standards.
• Collaborate with EPC contractors, OEM vendors, and SpaceXAI engineers to coordinate energization sequences and integrated system testing.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, LOTO procedures, and quality standards during all commissioning activities.
• Maintain accurate as-built documentation, test records, and commissioning reports.
• Support training of operations and maintenance teams on commissioned electrical systems.
• Participate in constructability reviews and provide field feedback to improve design and installation quality.
