Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Superintendent to lead the safe, efficient commissioning of major electrical systems on large industrial projects.

You will guide pre‑commissioning and functional testing, coordinate with engineering, construction, vendors, and operations, and ensure system readiness for turnover.

This role requires strong leadership of a ~20-person electrical team, rigorous safety adherence, and clear documentation throughout the commissioning process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience with pre-commissioning and commissioning of large electrical systems.
• Ability to lead a ~20-person electrical/instrumentation team through turnover.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety meetings and ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures.
• Oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up of major electrical systems.
• Conduct system walk-downs, identify deficiencies, and ensure readiness for testing.
• Supervise functional testing and troubleshoot issues during commissioning.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, vendors, and OEMs.
• Maintain commissioning documentation and turnover packages.
