Job summary

Bechtel seeks an Electrical Engineer for Semiconductor Commissioning to plan, test, and verify complex electrical systems (power distribution, UPS, generators) in semiconductor fabs, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant installation and operation. You will work with design/construction teams to resolve issues and prepare for facility turnover.

Minimum 8 years' experience in commissioning electrical systems in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or data center environments, with knowledge

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical degree.
• 6-10 years of relevant experience or 10-15 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
• Commissioning process power, cleanroom infrastructure, and automation systems.
• Experience with commissioning software (Smart Completions) and/or Digital Software.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning of electrical systems including lighting, grounding, switches, MCCs, UPS and PDUs, generators and transfer switches.
• Oversee medium and low voltage power distribution and process control systems.
• Witness FATs and SATs and ensure adherence to NFPA/NEC/IEEE standards.
• Coordinate with Commissioning Team, Design Engineers, Construction teams, vendors, and owner representatives to resolve technical issues.
• Develop commissioning plans, test scripts, and acceptance criteria aligned with project requirements.
• Review electrical drawings and one-line diagrams to scope tasks and ensure turnover readiness.
• Support performance metrics reviews and continuous improvements.
