Job summary

PayneCrest Electric, a Primoris Company, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is seeking a Senior BIM Engineer to serve as technical lead for advanced electrical modeling, coordination leadership, and constructability integration across large projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of BIM/VDC or engineering experience on electrical construction projects.
• Experience leading electrical coordination and constructability-driven modeling workflows.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Strong NEC knowledge and field installation practices.
• Mentor junior BIM staff and manage workload priorities.
• PE license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical modeling and coordination for large-scale projects.
• Develop one-line diagrams, distribution layouts, and lighting controls.
• Drive clash-free model integration across trades using Navisworks.
• Lead constructability reviews identifying risks and sequencing issues.
• Collaborate with field teams to integrate modularization and labor efficiency.
• Support value engineering with cost-effective solutions.
• Mentor BIM Engineers and Designers with guidance and oversight.
• Coordinate with PMs, estimators, and ops to align BIM with schedules.
• Participate in client coordination meetings and design reviews.
• Enforce BIM standards, workflows, and QC processes.
